She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Mack Chaney and Mabel Eugenia Bridges Chaney; her sisters, Salina Cullene Chaney and Norma Gene Chaney Caylor; her husband Judson Taylor Spears (J. T.); and her son John Thomas Spears.
She is survived by: her daughter Janis Diane Spears of Burnet, Texas; and her grandchildren, Laurie Hamilton, Angela Whithers, Jason Hamilton, Sloan Spears, William Spears, Randee Hamilton and Steven Spears. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
