He was predeceased by: his parents, James Andrew Taylor (Jimmy) and Hazel Boales Taylor; his wife Ida; and his brother Max Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Randy Taylor (Gayle) and Kim Johnson (Chris); his grandchildren, Marcus Perkins, Rochelle Taylor, John Taylor II (Jennifer), Cooper Johnson, Hartley Johnson, Kyle Johnson (Lindsay), Kolby Johnson, Alexa Terry, Tanner Johnson and Kylie Witcher; his great grandchildren, Clayton Dougherty (Tyler), MaKenzie, Paisley, Hunter Taylor, Daniel, Nora and Paul Johnson; and his great great grandchild Kendall Slattery. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sneed - Carnley Funeral Chapel (201 E 3rd St, Lampasas, TX 76550). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
