He was predeceased by: his father Joe Vega; and his son Joe Vega, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Sophia Mata Vega of Lampasas; his children, Chevy Vega of Lampasas, Patrick Vega of Rockdale and Leandra Beth Vega of Rockdale; and his siblings, Ruben Botello of Tyler and Dora Stoll of Midland.
