He was predeceased by: his father James Rhymes (Friday); and his siblings, John Rhymes (Densel), Donnie Rhymes (Donk), Helen Rhymes and Carolyn Rhymes.
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Ann Rhymes; his siblings, Jessie Rhymes, Lena Biddy, Sylvania West, Pricilla West and Dora Pickens; his children, Sueann Roesner and James Rhymes; his children-in-law, Jennifer Rhymes and Tom Roesner; and his stepchildren, Mary and Carl Falk. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces; six nephews and many other relatives and friends.
