She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Paul Shelton and Edith Susan Shelton (Gorrissen); her husband Tom James McCandless; her sister Pauline Shelton Dunlap (Knox); and her niece Mary Dunlap Ecuyer (Richard).
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Smith (Frank) of Lampasas; her granddaughters, Scotti George (Chris) and Elizabeth Smith of Austin; her great grandchild Ryker; and her nieces, Laura Ecuyer and Mary Elisabeth Ecuyer.
