He was predeceased by: his parents, H. C. Short and Grace Ona Thomas Short. He is survived by: his children, Laura Short Berryhill (Blake) and Charley Short; his siblings, Mark Short, Susan Short Lisle (Mark) and Clay Short; his grandchildren, Treyson Berryhill and Alli Berryhill; his nephews, Clint Lisle (Angela) and Travis Lisle (Hailey); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter Majkowski, Alexys Majkowski, Maddux Lisle, Brooks Lisle and Ollie Grace Lisle.
