She was predeceased by: her husband Marcus Ramirez; her parents, Elijio Viasana and Anastasia Viasana; her sons, Larry Barrera and Albert Barrera; and her siblings, Regino Viasana, Carmelo Viasana, Santiago Viasana and Rosa Luera Viasana.
She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Mai of Forth Worth, Albert Ramirez of Lamesa, John Barrera of Lamesa and Daniel Barrera of Lamesa; and her sisters, Antonia Viasana of Altos, OK and Mary Martinez of Kansas. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
