It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ismael Contreras of Lamesa, Texas, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Contreras and Lorenza Contreras (Perez); and his siblings, Pete Contreras, Salome Contreras, Miguel Contreras, Bernardo Contreras, Joe Contreras, Trinidad "El Negro" Contreras, Dolores Contreras and Flor Rodriguez.
He is survived by: his wife Lenor Contreras of Lamesa; his children, Patti Flores (Mark) of Midland and Terry Contreras of Lamesa; his stepchildren, Danny Granado (Jackie) of Midland, David Granado (Irma) of Midland, Belinda Kidd of Edmond and Tony Granado of Lamesa; his siblings, Mary Moncallo of Lamesa and Pablino Contreras of Killeen; and also Brian Kidd of Yukon. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
