It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Hernandez of Lamesa, Texas, who passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio V. Hernandez and Julia Hernandez (Martinez); his wife Lucinda Ramirez; and his siblings, Macario Hernandez, Tiodoro Hernandez, Olivia Carrillo, Carmen Robles and Danny Hernandez.
He is survived by: his children, Lenard Hernandez (Tammy) of Lamesa, Matthew Hernandez (Heather) of Lamesa, Angelica Hernandez and Jaime Garcia of Lamesa; his grandchildren, Julia, Amerie, Elizabeth, Idalyn, Lenard Jr., Obadiah, Selyna, Jesse, Timothy, Nathan, Ana, Ashley, Salvador II, Amelia and Caroline; his great grandchildren, Malachi Cervantes, Gabriella and Kai'mira Jackson; and his siblings, Ruben Hernandez, Abel Hernandez and Rosie Olivo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
