He is survived by: his wife Emily Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; his mother Adelita Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX.; his children, LeeAnn Altamirano (Moises) of Weslaco, TX., Carolyn Rodriguez of Weslaco, TX., John Ortiz (Megan) of Lamesa, TX., Timothy Ortiz of Lamesa, TX. and Erik Ortiz (Anana) of Lamesa, TX.; his siblings, Alice Ramirez of Hobbs, NM, Abel Hernandez, Jr. (Ida) of Katy, TX. and Johnny Rodriguez (Diane) of Lamesa, TX.; and his grandchildren, Misael Morin, Marley Zuniga, Elora Zuniga, Adel, Haley, Frank, Alex, Monalle, Andreina, Braiden, Hayden, Easton, Gavin, Leonardo and Daismier. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331).
