We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2025, at the age of 97, Emma Jean Read Holley of Lamesa, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. O. Read and Verna Shipley Read; her grandparents, Rev. S. C. and Mary Ann Shipley; her spouse L. V. Holley; her sister Ruby Lea Bowman; and her sons-in-law, John K. Hicks and J. Terry Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Brown of Lubbock and Suzanne Hicks (Sam) of Frisco; her grandchildren, Kimberly Holley Brown (Kim), Kristi Dian Brown, Robert John Hicks (Andrea) and Steven Read Hicks (Kate); her great grandchildren, Kyler Read Williams (Mallory), Kaimi Williams Whitaker (Whit), Airman Nathan Lee Hildebrandt, Kailea Addison Hildebrandt, Hazel Rae Hicks, Baker Louise Hicks, Calvin Knight Hicks, Fiel Marie Hicks, Florence Read Hicks (Flossie), Jeremiah Alexander Hicks and Kober Knight Hicks; and her great great grandchildren, Wriggs Wayne Whitaker, Wren Kate Whitaker, Knix Harlyn Williams and Kread June Williams.
