He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Echols and Lois Echols; his sister Doty Johnson; and his brother-in-law Dr. Robert Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Sharla; his daughters, Pepper Echols of Lubbock, Paige Echols of Blanco and Amber Thorp of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Kirby, Trevor Bibb, Kade, Reagan Benson, Alex Thorp and Tatum Thorp; and his great grandchildren, Landry, Ryder Bibb, Hardy, Holden and Hayes Benson.
