It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June Shell Mengden of Lakeway, Texas, born in Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothea Knight Shell and Judge Temple Houston Shell; her spouse Senator Walter H. Mengden, Jr.; and her great grandchild Miles Byron Mengden. She is survived by: her children, Sister Marie Janae, Walter H. Mengden, III, Joe Temple Mengden and John Shell Mengden; her grandchildren, Walter IV, Michael, Jack, Madeline, Victoria, Daniel, Rachel and Gabby Mengden; her great grandchild Evelyne Luisa Mengden; her sisters-in-law, Pati Eckhardt and Ann Mengden; her nephew Michael Mengden; and her nieces, Susan Mengden Ellis and Cathy Mengden Dohnalek.
