He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Antonio Guerra and Melida Blandino Guerra; his siblings, Jose Antonio Guerra, Carlos Guerra, Wilfredo Guerra, Melida Lacayo, Alba Marina Guerra, Maria Auxiliadora Guerra, Mario Guerra, Rene Guerra, Consuelo Guerra and Julio Cesar Guerra; his son-in-law Nelson Cortes; and also, Jose Antonio Guerra and Melida Blandino Guerra.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maria Concepcion (Gary) and Regina Del Carmen (Vince); his wife Melba Guerra; his children, Melba Cortez and Jose Guerra (Ann); his grandchildren, Regina Adams (Conrad), Nelson Jr. Cortes (Rebecca), Jordan Grush (Bree), Andrew Grush, Bridgette Guerra, Bella Friess (Thad), Michael Guerra, Kristana Guerra, Victoria Krajewski (Seth), Katerina Cotroneo and Christian Joseph Cotroneo; and his sisters, Conchita Arana, Lygia Olivera and Sarita Zamora. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Emmaus Catholic Church (1718 Lohmans Crossing Rd, Lakeway, TX 78734).
