It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie Batten of Lakeway, Texas, born in Walstonburg, North Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Corbett Batten and Stephen Batten; her siblings, James W., Mordecai P. Batten and Betty Jean Wheeless; and her son Kim Franklin Barron.
She is survived by: her children, Jon Anthony Barron (Gay) and Sherill Barron Bell (Alan); and her brother Ronald Stephen Batten (Sharon). She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
