He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Hank" and Joy Hanson; and his children, Scott Hanson and Leslie Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Perry Hanson (Lucy) of Richmond, TX, Tamara Rowe (Carl) of Lindale, TX, Alisa Kura (Steve) of Lakeway, TX and Tracy Cimo of Georgetown, TX; and his siblings, Howard Hanson (Conchita) and Carol Weir (Bob). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association in his name.
