She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Whitmore and Jane Whitmore (DePledge); her husband DeWitt Ira Smith; her daughter Donna Jane; and her siblings, Dot Jane and Charles Whitmore.
She is survived by: her children, DeWitt Smith (Debbie), Deena Harkins (David) and Mark Smith (Corina); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Joseph Sobotik), Dustin (Logyn Smith), Shelby (Kyndal Hadash) and Jake Smith; her great grandchildren, Peyton, Presley, Fisher Sobotik-Becker, Meyer Smith-Karsyn and Styrling Hadash; and her sister Verna Tetz (John).
Wherever they lived, they were always involved in church, charity, and community events.
