She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Saramma Samuel and P. Oommen Samuel; her daughter Reny (David); her grandchildren, Stefanie (Todd), Kristina, Jonathan and Siena; her daughter-in-law Sandra; her great grandchild Savannah; her siblings, Sam, Aleyamma (P. V. John) and Rachel; her husband P. V. Varghese; and her son Reji Varghese. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
She was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2001, but this adversity only strengthened her faith.
