She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Serrato and Adela F. Serrato; her husband Miguel Marquez Sr. of Galveston, TX; her siblings, Daniel Serrato (Antonia), Anestacita Serrato, Martha Valdez (Joe), Isidra Valdez (Tomas), Adela Serrato, Elida Carrasco (Severo), Miguel Serrato (Maria) and Maria Serrato of Texas; her niece Emma Serrato Barrientos; and her nephew Raymond Flores (Mary Bohn).
She is survived by: her children, Joe Castillo (Judy) of Homestead, FL, Jessie Castillo (Pam) of Tiki Island, TX, Teresita Castillo of Galveston, TX and Mary C. McFather (Jon) of League City, TX; her grandchildren, Kyle Castillo (Jennifer), Natalia Madrigal (David), Emmitt McFather and Luke McFather; her great grandchildren, Robert J. Peebles (Sally), Savannah Sizemore and Colton Castillo; and her great great grandchildren, Nathan Peebles of Florida, Desire Peebles of Florida and Adrian Peebles of Florida.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a small private immediate family service will be held at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home and she will then be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston, Texas.
