He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hulbirt and Elizabeth Caroline Newman (Cooper); and his former wife Linda Bohls Newman. He is survived by: his wife Tommie Newman of Corpus Christi; his children, Jennifer Pitts (Donald) of Plano and Greg Newman (Connie) of Keller; his grandchildren, Jacob Newman (Deb) of Mittagong, Rebecca Credicott (Nick) of Fort Worth and Zoe Pitts of Austin; his great grandchildren, Grace and Chloe Newman; and his brothers, Neil Newman (Carole) of Denton and Hash Newman of Baltimore, MD..
