She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil G. Sears; her parents, Clay V. Knox and Ina R. Knox (Redwine); and her brothers, Gordon Knox and David Knox.
She is survived by: her sister Reita Norman; her children, Dr. Glenn Sears (Carolyn) of Denton, Dr. Larry Sears (Kathy) of Gainesville and Vicki Adsit (Bob); and her grandchildren, Laura, Robert Bong, Christopher, Eve Sears, Timothy, Shannon Sears, Alan, Mariana Sears, Emily Sears, Lance, Sabrina Adsit, Brian Sears, Grant and Deby Adsit. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
