She was predeceased by: her parents, Manly Whitted and Josephine Whitted; her husband John Henry Spells; and her siblings, Mary Frances Ray, Lula Beatrice White, Andrew Eugene Whitted, Sergeant 1st Class Bertie O'Neal Whitted and Evelyn Robertson.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Spells, Sr. (Dorcas), Darrell Spells (Lori) and Dr. Rosalind Spells; her grandchildren, Daniel, Jr., John, Luke, Mark, Tabitha, Kayla, Nia, Jackson and Ashton; her great grandchildren, Andrew and Skylar; and her siblings, Frederick O'neal Whitted and Exie Lenora Mitchell. She is also survived by loving brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Jackson Civic Center (333 TX-332, Lake Jackson, TX 77566).
