He was predeceased by: his parents, Moscow Boykin and Lillender Boykin; his significant other Betty Jo "Granny" Boykin; his son Herb Boykin; and his siblings, Virginia Creekmore, Dorothy White, Dolly Phillips, Lillie Weatherford, Junior and Vernon Boykin.
He is survived by: his son Steve (Sandy); his daughter-in-law Shari Boykin; his siblings, Faye Duncan (Freddie), Danny (Rhonda) and Freeman; his grandchildren, Jenny Nowlin (Greg), Lisa Custer (Clif), Steven Joe Boykin (Amanda), Cindi Calderone and Taylor Garatt (Rebecca); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Nowlin, Abigail Boykin, Lila Boykin, Addalyn Custer and Dorothy Boykin. He is also survived by great nieces, and nephews (and their friends.
