It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Lacina (Lake Jackson, Texas), who passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Rita farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rita is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ozie Lee Ellis Lewis and Charles Albert Lewis. She is survived by: her son Charles Lacina (Mandy); her grandchildren, Justin Lacina (Candice) of Santa Fe, TX and Kacie Lacina (Travis Neel); her great grandchildren, Payton Arcudi, Maci Neel, Haislie Neel and Nash Neel; and also, Derek Pope (Hannah), Emily Koenig (Brett) of Lake Jackson, TX and Dalton Pope of Colorado. She is also survived by many cousins and life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel (98 Dixie Dr, Lake Jackson, TX 77566). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
