He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Bullard Wells and Emmitt Donald Wells; his sister Connie Gayle Wells; and his nephew Brandon Scott Wells. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Marchelle Deering (William Gray Deering II) and Carl Anthony Wells (Marlene Rose Wells); his son Mark Allen Carter (Erica Carter); his nieces, Nikole Marie Underwood, Tiffany Elaine Keen, Jennifer Ashley Warren, Amanda Carol Deering and Alexandra Marchelle Deering; and his grandson Shiloh Shane Carter.

A graveside service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Park.
