She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Earl Wallace Cook and Clinton Theodore Cook; and her siblings, Dora Cook Litton, Clinton Elwood Cook, Nelda Lee Cook and Kenneth Earl Cook.

She is survived by: her husband Clayton Carl Johnston; her sons, Craig Carlton Johnston (Gloria) of Hewitt and Shannon Carl Johnston (Jenny) of Shreveport; her grandchildren, Allie Brooke Johnston, Kate Carly Johnston and Clayton Craig Johnston; and her siblings, Zelda Ree Thomas, Daniel Grover Cook and Wilbur Lee Cook. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church Valley Mills in Mamie's memory.
