It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Reid of Lake Jackson, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carroll Clyde Reid, Sr. and Victorine Stone Reid; his wife Mary Lou; his daughter Wendy Reid of Charlotte; and his sister Kay Stairs of Angleton. He was also cherished by four nephews and many cousins.
For a short time after graduation, he taught school and coached but decided to leave and go to work for his father at his company Foundation and Construction in Freeport, Texas.
