It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hubert Alois Hermes Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Hermes and Lelia Faye Hermes; and his grandparents, August, Ida Etzler Hermes, Emil and Frances Wick Hermes.

He is survived by: his son-in-law James Martinson II; his daughter Stefanie Martinson (Jimmy); his granddaughters, Stella Faye, Hadley Adele and Violet James; and his siblings, Cynthia (Victor Mozisek), Mike (Jane), Richard (Jayme), Keith (Jana) and Kevin (Mischelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
