He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John Rodrick McNair, Emma Catherine Melton McNair, Henry Eugene Dixon and Alice Haltom Dixon; his wife Dorothy Fernandez McNair; his parents, Marion Melton McNair and Bertie Gladys Dixon McNair; his brother Marion Dixon McNair; and his son-in-law Jaime Alvarez-Calderon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marie Elena Alvarez-Calderon (Douglas Saam) of Lake Jackson and Eileen Frances McNair Boaz (Joe) of Huntsville, Texas; his grandchildren, Elisa Marie Bruce Kepner (Rob) of Aldie, Virginia, Joseph Carlton Boaz (Deborah) of Huntsville, Texas and Emily Grace Boaz Stavinoha (Hudson) of Dallas, Texas; his great grandchildren, William Howard Kepner, Robert Andrew Kepner of Aldie, Anabelle Fay Boaz, Joseph Albert Boaz and Marion Reese Boaz of Huntsville, Texas.; and his sister-in-law Mary Pauline McNair of LaGrange, Texas..
