He was predeceased by: his parents, Goodwin J. Gerard and Eileen K. Gerard; his brother David Gerard; his wife Patricia Gerard; his daughter Marie Gerard; and his grandson Joshua Wolfe.

He is survived by: his close friends, Suzanne, Minette, Michael and Andre; his former wife Carol Gerard; his children, Suzanne Herrington (Tony Herrington), Minette Jaeger, Michael and Andre Gerard; and his stepchildren, Craig, Jeff, Steven Cyr and Laura Dean. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
