He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elsie Pearson and Lawrence Pearson; his wife Virginia May Powell; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Pearson, Sarah Pearson, Brian (Mariana Pearson) and Colton Pearson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Gideons.
