He is survived by: his mother Tula Lee Simmons (Purcell); his brothers, Tommy Simmons of Lake Brownwood and John Simmons of Lake Brownwood; and his daughter Misty Dawn Simmons of Coleman. He is also survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
