She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerl Dale and Clara Helen Abel; her sister Carol Ann Abel; her sons, Jeffery Harold Van Cooney, James Ray Beatty and Ronnie Lee Beatty; and her grandsons, Shelton Lane Algebright Beatty and Jeffery Glen Beatty.
She is survived by: her children, Jessica Van Cooney (Sheryl Miller) and Mark Cina (Candyce); her sister Ouida (Mike Cormier); her nephew Marshall (Cile); her niece Michelle Cormier; her great-nieces, Tommi Cormier and Ariel Richard; her great-nephew Jacob Thrasher; her aunt Ann Sweat; her cousins, Pamela Tomberlin, Ben Alley, Nancy Manning, Jeannie Summerhill, Sherrie Waller and Debbie Tomberlin Jones; her daughters-in-law, Laredo and Marla; her sons, Johnny Mercer and Tim Cope; her grandchildren, Ryley, Cecilia, Cade, Todd, Alyssa, Patrica, Jacie, Wyatt, Silas, Samantha, Matt, Thomas, Kelsey, Josiah, Adaline, Autumn, August and Hudson; and also Jacob Jr..
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brownwood Funeral Home (2512 Belle Plain St, Brownwood, TX 76801).
