He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Barber Ray; his parents, Ira Lee and Eva Juanita Ray; and his sister Donna. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Lee Ray (Becky) of Morgan and Gregory Don Ray (Marquita) of Hillsboro, Texas.; his brother Eddie Ray of East; and his grandchildren, Robert Ray Jr. and Tessa Ray. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
He served in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967, where he made invaluable contributions to the military.
