He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Kathleen Mary McCarty; his wife Marlene Widmyer Little; his children, John Xavier Little, Kenneth Douglas Little and Vicki Little Nixon (Robert); his grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Little, Rachel Little Spell (Thomas), Robert Kingston Nixon and Aidan Ray Nixon; and his great grandchildren, Serena, Evelynn and Christopher Spell.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Charity Fund or Laguna Madre Humane Society.
