He is survived by: his wife Emily Owens; his daughter Finley Ruth Owens; his parents, Marjorie Budens (Robert D.) of Temple, Texas and Benny Ray "Chip" Owens II (Debby) of Abilene, Texas; and his grandparents, Beverly Goodyear-Clark (Max) of Mineral Wells, Texas and Benny Ray Owens (Ginger) of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins.
