He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict J. Wiatrek and Susie T. Lyssy Wiatrek; his sisters, Jane Hosek and Alene Pruski (Sami); his brothers-in-law, Daniel Hosek, Edward Pruski and Vernon Pruski; and his great-nephews, Cameron Wiatrek and Reese Pruski.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Hosek Wiatrek (Micki); his children, Gregory Wiatrek (Sheri), Chris Wiatrek (Bridget) and Janice Lyssy (Darrell); his grandchildren, Regan Zigmond (Chris), Kirsten, Jacob, Grant Wiatrek, Annica, Zoie Lyssy, Nathan and Hanna Wiatrek; his great grandchild Landen Wollam; his siblings, Lorene Wiatrek (Virgil), Annie Pruski, Bernice Pruski (Adrian), Marilyn Pruski (Jerry), Ben Wiatrek (Jane), Harvey Wiatrek (Maggie) and Allan Wiatrek (Vernell); and his siblings-in-law, Gertrude Sells (Gene) and Tim Hosek (Lynn).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E, Adkins, TX 78121). A rosary was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (14151 U. S. Hwy 87 W, La Vernia, TX 78121). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Ann's Parish Cemetery (65 Co Rd 236, Falls City, TX 78113).
