He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Stacy Thompson and Ruby Bell Pitts; his stepdaughter Cynthia Gayle Sanders Friesenhahn; and his brothers, JB, Marvin Ray, Roland Pratt, Paul Stacy and Frank Neal Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Dennis Thompson; and his stepdaughters, Carolyn Gerland (Geoffrey) and Patricia Morales (Robert). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
