She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hampton and Maguerite Hampton (Hohimer); and her sisters, Sandra Kae Hunt and Donna Jean Whitehouse. She is survived by: her husband Wiley Marion Sanders, Jr.; her children, Lieutenant Colonel Tom Sanders (Kerrie), Marc Sanders and Matthew Sanders; and her sister Wadine Mibb. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

The family welcomes donations to Breastcancer.org as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
