With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Schroder of La Vernia, Texas, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Schroder; his son Charles Schroder; his parents, John Henry Schroder and Lilly Mae Kling Schroder; and his siblings, Roy Schroder and Jean Crest.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jody Daffern of Quincy and Theresa Gillespie (Bryan) of Garden Ridge, Texas; his grandchildren, Rick Daffern, Bryan Boden, Bryon Garza, Brooke Gillespie, Matthew Schroder and Brooke Blume; his great grandchildren, Kendrick Garza, Jazmen Boden and Abigail Daffern; and his siblings, Wanda Webster, Jerry Schroder, Jan Schroder, Joan Dennison and Jay Schroder. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
