It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Scruggs (La Vernia, Texas), who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Scruggs and Lois Stokes Scruggs; and his siblings, Sue, Katherine, Billy and Bobby Scruggs.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Terrill Scruggs; his children, Michael Scruggs (Cathy) and Angela Thurman (Mark); his stepdaughters, Terri Real (Donald) and Kerri Trainer (Damon); his grandchildren, Madison Scruggs, Mollie Nelson (Josh), Haley Thurman, Megan Thurman and Nick Thurman; his stepgrandchildren, Megan Real Coldeway (Jeff), Kyle Real (Francine), Colin, Haley and Austin Trainer; his brother Jerry Scruggs (Jenny); his nephew Stephen; and his niece Sandra Scruggs.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Gideons International Southeast Camp, San Antonio, Texas.
