Gary Smith Sr. Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Gary Smith Sr. (La Vernia, Texas), whose life came to an end on December 7, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Smith and Teddie Mae Smith. He is survived by: his wife Bettie Dietrich Smith; his children, Cindy Coleman (Corky), Susan Joy Lee (Bob), Patti Webel (Paul), Gary E. Smith Jr. (Kathryn), Ronald J. Smith (Cindi) and Carl W. Smith (Sandy); and his grandchildren, Cody Coleman (Stephanie), Cecily Byrom (Cody), Holly Story (Cade), Ashlea Lehman (Michael), Kelly Reisdorph (Taylor), Kelsey Parker (Jace), Justin Smith (Kyli), Tyler Smith, Brandon Smith, Cory Wayne Smith (Jenny), Troy Evans Smith and Ryan Lee. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E, Adkins, TX 78121). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Concrete Cemetery (15365 FM 775, La Vernia, TX 78121).
