He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Thayer and Elaine Thayer (Mayes); his brothers, Charles Thayer and Nelson Thayer; his aunt Elizabeth "Dottie" Thayer; and his uncle Brother Ralph E (S. M.).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Thayer (Werland); his daughters, Elizabeth Drouillard (Dennis), Michelle Smid (Michael) and Stephanie Barrett; and his grandchildren, Joseph Drouillard, Catherine Drouillard, Dennis Drouillard, Thomas Drouillard, Hannah Smid, Jared Smid, Ethan Barrett and Tana Barrett. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
