He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schievelbein and Louise Schievelbein; his former wife Shirley Haltom; his siblings, James, Virgil Schievelbein and Nell Lenz; and his niece Brenda Schievelbein.
He is survived by: his wife Marg Schievelbein; his sons, Mark Simpson and Justin Simpson (Monica); his grandchildren, Charles Barnett, Aidan Taylor, Slade Simpson and Phoenix Simpson; his sister-in-law Carole Schievelbein; and his nieces and nephews, Lori McCoy, Tim Schievelbein, Cindy Johnson (Kyle), Tommy Lawson, Evelyn Setterbo (Danny), Charlie Lawson (Lisa) and Danny Schievelbein (Connie).
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E, Adkins, TX 78121). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Post Oak Community Cemetery.
