He was predeceased by: his daughter Lenise McHazlett; his father Matthew Gonzales McHazlett; and his brother Matthew McHazlett, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Emma McHazlett (Martinez) of La Pryor; his wife Sissy (Dennis) of La Pryor; his children, Dwight H. Mc Hazlett Jr. (Rebecca) of Bay City, Texas and Lanette McHazlett Sanchez (John) of San Marcos, Texas; and his grandchildren, Bradley, Brayden McHazlett and Emma "Emmie" Sanchez.
