He was predeceased by: his parents, Teresa Maldonado and Alejandro Barrios; his stepmother Aurora Barrios; his granddaughter Avery Mejia; and his sister Jayne Vasquez.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Barrios; his children, Diana Barrios Carreon of Uvalde, Anaalicia Barrios (Leeroy Moncada) and Arnold Barrios, Jr. of Lake Jackson; his siblings, Veronica Hinojosa, Mary Alicia Gonzales, Maribel Obregon, Josephine Morales and Alberto Barrios of Uvalde; his grandchildren, Jose B. Mejia, Arnold Barrios III, Cielo Moncada and Nolbert Moncada III; and his great grandchildren, Joselyn Mejia, Audrey Mejia, Brenly Mejia and Evelyn Mejia.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (620 W Benson St, La Pryor, TX 78872). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pryor Cemetery.
