It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Hibdon of La Pryor, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Lee Roberts Hibdon of Pleasanton and Alvin Lee Hibdon of La Pryor; his stepfather Dois Pruett of Fredericksburg; his spouse Dois Pruett; his cousin Marjorie Kellner; his grandmother Zella Stapleton Roberts; and his siblings, Dona Drew (Mike) of Comfort and C. D. Pruett (Debra) of Abilene. He was also cherished by Several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Leakey Floral Cemetery Association.

“I met Alvin in 1960 when he was residing in Philadelphia, PA, and dancing on American Bandstand. We corresponded for a few years thereafter. I tried to connect with him when I visited a classmate in Austin, but we missed and telephoned and corresponded for a while. I talked to his brother C. D. Pruett at that time. Sorry to learn of his death in checking out friends in Texas to see how they are.”
