He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleofas Rios, and Sylvester Rios, Sr.; his brother Alberto Rios; and his wife Joyce. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Long and Loretta Fernandez; his grandchildren, Savannah Long, Nathan Long, Rosa Elena Fernandez, Lucia Fernandez, Sofia Fernandez and Natalia Fernandez; and his siblings, Manuela Bustamante, Maria Bosquez, Guadalupe Rios, Sr. and Juan Ramos. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grand View Funeral Home (8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505). A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Hyacinth Catholic Church (2921 Center St, Deer Park, TX 77536). A reception was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM at the Grand View Funeral Home (8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505). A committal service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
