He is survived by: his wife Donna Perry; his children, Chris Perry, John Perry, Jacob Perry, Dr. Laura Perry, Melanie Steele, Cherish Martos and Stephanie Perry; his siblings, Elaine Brown, Yvonne Moore, Kathy Perry, Kenny Perry, Tommy Perry and David Perry; his grandchildren, Olivia Hayden, Teagan Martos, Kaitlyn Allen, Alana Geanangel, Gabriella Kirk, Serenity Perry, Dana Fraley, Christopher Kirk and Garrett Mitschke; and his great grandchildren, Nicholas Allen, Aleiah Dorsett and Pyper Whitaker.
He was actively involved in the LaPorte Citizen's Police Academy, St. Mary's University Alumni, Blue Santa, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Ride for Kids, Christus Foundation for Health, and the Nun Run.
