She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Zayas and Damiana Zayas; her daughter Linda Lozano; her siblings, Inocencia Chita Garcia, Delores "Lola" Guzman and Sixto Sayaz; and her son-in-law Mark Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Whistler, James, Wally (Cecelia), Eloy and Lulu Nelson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
